Learn how to easily customize your ribbon inside PowerMill and create command buttons.

Use the Customise Ribbon page to create new tabs and groups. You can add commands from existing tabs to a custom tab. This enables you to group commonly used commands onto a single tab.

To create a custom tab and add a command:

  1. Click New Tab.
  2. Click Edit:
    1. Enter a Name for the tab.
    2. Enter a Description for the tab.
    3. Click Done.
  3. Click New Group:
    1. Enter a Name for the group.
    2. Enter a Description for the group.
    3. Click Done.
  4. From the list on the left of the dialog navigate through the categories and select the command you want to add to the group.
  5. Click Add.
  6. Click OK to close the dialog.

The dialog contains additional options:

  • Customise — Click to display the Customise Keyboard Shortcuts dialog.
  • Reset — Click to remove any ribbon customisation.
  • Import — Click to load a customised ribbon from a file.
  • Export — Click to save your customised ribbon to a file.
Want to add the "project claim" command to ribbon in PowerMill.

Solution:

To add project claim command to the ribbon in PowerMill;
  1. Right click in the white area, top right of screen and select Customise the Ribbon.
  2. Select Command Button from Pull down.
  3. Enter a Name and Description.
  4. Enter the Command: project claim.
  5. Add an icon if required.
  6. Press "Add".
  7. Press "OK".
Note- The "New Tab" should now show on the Ribbon and the "project claim" button should now work.
