If you are experiencing large arc moves coming from a Mastercam .NCI file, following the directions below to fix the issue.
- Open CAMplete TruePath and go to the Manage tab. Click on Options.
- Click on File Types, then select Mastercam in the dropdown menu.
- Locate NCI - Circular Interpolation Move Tolerance inside of the Additional Options section.
- Changing the tolerance to 0.005" should completely remove the large arcs, but it's best practice to start with the lowest number possible, then work your way up until the arc is gone. Different toolpath situations will reacted differently.
- Once a value is set, Close the User Preferences, then reimport the exported files from Mastercam. You will not see changes unless the NCI is reimported to regenerate the toolpaths in a fresh CAMplete TruePath project.
After the new project toolpaths are generated with the preferred Circular Interpolation Move Tolerance, the large arc issue will be resolved.
