How to Change Tool Change Location from default

Problem:

At the beginning and end of operations in FeatureCAM, the tool change location causes a false gouge where the tool plunges into the part during 3D simulations. This gouge is not reflected in the NC Code.

Cause:

Tool change location default setting for simulations is 1" in the Z axis. This results in false gouges during 3D simulation

Solution:

Alter the tool change location for simulations to a more logical position.

Steps to alter the setting:

Navigate the Status bar, and click the post name to open the Post Options.
Change the tool change location setting to a location above the part.

Use any value you wish, just make sure they are values that will show the tool change clearing the part.

Note: This modification changes the tool change location in simulation only. The NC program is unchanged.
