Many Powermill customers use powerful plugins such as Vericut or Camplete for advanced verification of there machine tool before running a program out in the shop. This requires you to change the output of the NC program from the standard G code output to a suitable format for the plugin out put to the selected partner software of choice. To do this.

Go to the Powermill Back stage manager by clicking File, (2018-2020) In the Options, Application Options, under NC Programs, and Output

Set the File Type to Cutter location and the Format to Ascii

After this you can use your plugin to send the NC program to the desired software.

Note: It is good practice to create a macro and a customized button to switch between the File types and outputs if you are using both a plugin and standard NC program output.
